Lots of love and care goes into the process of hand-dying each slip. Every slip, regardless of its dyed color, has its own unique color shade. The beauty is that no two hand-dyed slips are alike.
My influences are: the colors of the sun, sky, ocean and all of the earthly components such as trees, grass, and flowers, which gives me inspiration to constantly experiment with new and exciting colors of the rainbow.

I grew up in Sweden back in the 70's. On my leisure time, one of my favorite activities was to take the train into Stockholm for treasure hunting. Shopping for vintage 30's and 40's clothing was one of my passions back then. The old part of the city had quaint boutiques with everything I could want. I remember looking at all the unique garments which left a lasting impression in my mind. I wondered who had owned and cared for these beautiful slips. In my imagination they must have been loved and treasured by the most beautiful women of the past.
I remember my mother's delicate slips as something very feminine and beautiful. My love and admiration for my mother as a child and the longing to wear those glamorous garments gave me the inspiration to create my own line of colorful hand-dyed vintage slips.
I went to school at F.I.T. and spent ten years in New York City. I started my company five years ago. After living in Seattle for eight years, I recently bought a farmhouse on the prairie and am now enjoying my life as an independent sustainable/green designer in a small town. ~Gunlis
