Unexpected Necessities started out after several friends saw some of our projects and encouraged us to participate in a local show. That was nearly 4 years ago, and here we are today.

Things that inspire us are yard sales, thrift stores and crafty blogs. We adore vintage fabric, trims and buttons. Scrapbook paper, old hardware and just plain junk. Whatever we can get our hands on to add our own personal touch to a project to give it new life. We are always seeking those unique items to help us express our creative side. In addition to our repurposed items, we also create sassy aprons, pillows, handmade cards and one of a kind journals.
