Vintage Cookbook Covers

We created these quick and simple cookbook covers to protect our favorite vintage cookbooks.  Best of all, they utilize old shower curtains and inexpensive new vinyl tablecloths.

Materials:

Vintage Shower curtains - $1 yard sale find

Vinyl tablecloths - $3 each at K-Mart

Three Easy Steps:

1. Press cookbook completely open and cut material ½” taller on top and bottom of cookbook, and 2” wider on each side.
2. Fold in each side to fit, remove the cookbook, and paper clip in place.
3. Stitch across the top and bottom, trim just above stitching and slip cookbook into cover.

Alternative use:

A worn-out old truck - a favorite find from one of our farm excursions - serves a new purpose as the perfect holder for these cookbooks.
