VINTAGE ROSARY BRACELETS

I still remember the Mary medallion I found at a local family run estate sale. I had begun unpacking my truck that was filled with newfound treasures. Amongst a stack of wooden bowls, I discovered the old medallion – shiny and blue and quite beautiful. I knew it was mistakenly placed there and decided immediately to return it. After the long drive back into town, I was dismayed when the family didn’t want it back. I really loved the piece and wanted to make sure it would be treasured. Eventually, I decided it would make a special baptismal gift for our niece, Annie Mae.

A few months later, I discovered a collection of vintage rosary bracelets at a flea market. One of the bracelets had the identical Mary as the one I’d given to Annie. I adore the bracelets and especially enjoy wearing them together. The carefree combination is pretty, jangles together to make a lovely sound, and reminds me of the niece I’m so crazy about. ~Serena
