I went on a run in my big warm boots through the fields today. Past the sunflower patch, the pumpkin field, pea field, and corn field. Lots of others had been there before me.
The clouds were rolling along at such a fast clip, leaving the sun to flicker in and out as they passed through. Even though we had so much snow, it's beginning to melt, as the temperature is 50 degrees warmer today than it was last week! I'm so glad that cold snap is gone.
I'm always surprised at what catches my eye when I'm in the fields. I made a note to come back to this tree for a picnic sometime this summer.
I love coming back up the little hill and seeing the house sitting there like an old friend.
Soon, the snow will all be gone and the fields will be sprouting once again.
